From the song "2084"

Cool progression, cool melody...!
This group sounds like Tom Petty, who else...? I like the structure & instruments used. Recording is mixed well & sounds pretty clear ( my internet connection speed is terrible, but this one still sounds good)... Male vocals are happening, very moody... Neat song. I like it guys...!!!

Who do you sound like?
My first impression was U2, especially the vocals. Then upon further listening, I hear similarities with Flaming Lips. I like the vocals, they have an innocent sound. Good mix, I like the outro.

You do sound like someone...
You sound exactly like someone but i cant put my finger on it but ive heard it before. Im assuming you listen to radiohead too. The stuff in the middles burys the song i would tone it down a little there. Song needs to be a little more exciting some how.

A good tune
Creative and well done. Probably not a hit pop tune but has a feel to it that I keep growing on. Keep up the great song writingb

like the orchestral open
you sound like: The Sippy Insipids. I like the high vocals, kinda a mouthwash to too much Creed Crud. At times it comes off a bit Muppet. Really like the piano interaction. this seems like a college radio plugger. some I am the Walrusish outro ...

Special Award: Best Feel Good Track

groovey man
very bob dylanesque, with a bit of sonic youth in the center, this type of stuff is not really my cup of tea, but it is very well put together

mmmmm
good dynamics. Great song very juicey. Like taking a bite into fried chicken. Crispy on the outside and juicy in the middle. Good vocals and very original.

Special Award: Best Feel Good Track

wow.. big sound
pushing a lot of air that's for sure. love the keys and harmonies. strong melody too. this is pretty good. let loose with your singing.. i think you've got it in you. Real audio makes everything sound out of phase but aside that. i am impressed

Cool original work.
Production sounds better than most. Sounds a bit Beatle-ish, maybe a bit Sloan-y. Interesting song, I like the layers of different sounds going on. Pretty trippy stuff. It's a feel good tune. Sweet.

brit pop.
Great song from the very beginning, goopd procuction quality. your vocals are nice sounding, very brit pop. i liek this track, well done.

Rolling, rolling, rolling
I like the fluidity of the lyrics, they just roll of the singers tongue as the story unfolds. Crazy guitar breaks after the chorus add emphasis and simply sound cool, like the future is wide open and chaotic as your destiny is being made. I know this is going to seem wierd but if I was to mention anyone you sound like it would be Paul Simon just because of the structure of the song and as everyone knows, he is a craftman.

Bouncy
Bouncy upbeat very original song. Loads of quirky layers to the sounds. Bass piano in verses is particular effective. Like the mix and production. Hard to say who you sound like. A little acid days Beatles crossed with Badly Drawn Boy maybe?. Very good!

your destiny is clear
a splash of u2 i can't place who the vox remind me of they are very sweet very good song one of the best i've heard here good lyrics best of luck

semisonic
There is a nice instrumental mix. The singer has some stand out qualities to his voice, reminded me of the singer from Semisonic. Interesting lyrics, and strong performances.

A stand out track.
Complex full background. Lots of lyrical images. Big big production. Singer that conveys the meaning and emotion of the song. Lovely chorus. Great melody. Ever heard of Gerry Rafferty, there is a likeness to him here. This is a good job that sticks up above the rest.

Hip!
Great mix and production! All the instruments and vocals were right in your face. Like the effects at about 2 min. in. The vocals were good I like the style, kind of retro. The length of the song was perfect!! You didn't bore me! Who do you sound like? It's on the tip of my tongue... but can't spit it out.

this could be........
This one reminded me so much of Tom Petty. I love it, sounds really cool. You must already be on your feet in the music world. Good luck to you.

sweet track
greaat song! everything fits and seems to settle where it should. the song is far from predictable though. nice intricate melodies...great vocals as well. overall nice mix. who do you sound like? U2 meets Blind Melon meets Coldplay.

interesting
It'a alright.. got some really neat ideas... and really mainstream. Like the production and mix of the song. Some of the notes the vocals hit.. don't seem like they fit. A bit sharp or flat. It's sounding alot better than alot of garageband.com bands i've heard though so far. Keep it up. Don't know who you guys sound like.. kind of like mogwai or something. neat stuff.

Big...
Nice progression. I like the composition. The vocals were a little quiet, but overall a good job.
song writting is top notch
great song. some thought went into this one. great song writting. performance is good. not sure what you sound like. dave matthews like maybe, but not really. but you would fit with them.

Great pop song
Very cool composition and performance. I enjoyed this big sound. The lyrics are memorable and listenable. Loved the background vocals at 2:10. There is a Beatles meets Tom Petty thing going on here. At any rate, very nicely done.

Extra Credit: Male Vocals, Guitars, Production

who??
The band asked who they sound like. Well this is a good Question. They seem a little like the 80's style soft rock. To me it seems the singer is singing a little to high a pich for his voice. The song in all was pretty good a little to drawn out for me but very well put together.. I liked it..

Extra Credit: Sequencer/Effects Programming, Production, Mood

FULL
nice full sound. some would say thats its production is just ok, but i like it. i hate the WDWSL question so i never answer it.. I think this music is very nice, and well written.. best of luck

Let's all go to the Moon
Easy-listening first 40 seconds. The first change is welcome. Like the piano throughout. The singer sounds like John Sebastian's cousin. This is fine pleasant pop. And it gets a little ELO -ish at times. This is enjoyable in a Sergeant Pepper kind of way. Good job.

Extra Credit: Male Vocals, Keyboards/Organ/Piano, Production, Beat, Mood

On Fire
LIKE THE melody, you sound like the beatles, I think if the beatles where still a band and together, this is the kind, of thing they would be putting out, Only can say Im jealous of you good job!

Very unique
Who do you sound like? - It is pretty unique sounding to me. Unfortunately I don't listen to a very wide variety of artists so it is hard to me to determine this. I love all of the action going on in the background. The guitar is excellent. The vocals are not spectacular, but they are certainly not irritating (75 percent of the ones I hear are). Great Job

Extra Credit: Guitars

Wow
This is like from th 60's. I really like this melodies, piano is great. You sound like the beatles I guess...

Extra Credit: Beat

'bout time...
I heard something good here. You don't sound like anybody I know of...that's good! Great melody and lyrics. Cool stuff

From the song "The Outsider"

Jive Turkey
I like this song a lot. You ask the question "who do we sound like?" Well, I can't really name a major label band, but you sound like a couple of local bands here in Columbus, OH. I liked the original aspect of the song and would like to hear more of your stuff. Nice piano, guitar sounds and harmonies by the way.

Light & bubbly, but not attention-grabbing
This song has a light and bubbly atmosphere, just like a 1920's speakeasy. The lyrics interlock with the music and are very befitting. There's nothing flashy about the vocals, but again, they fit the mood of being in a lolling, drunken state at a party. Overall, the song is good, and the style isn't something I hear much of (props on originality and risktaking). However, because the mood is rather selective, the song isn't really a bright flashing-light attention-getter.

Extra Credit: Keyboards/Organ/Piano

Let's boogie
Very original, a little Beatles with some honkey-tonk thrown in. I like the guitar breaks, but they could be a little more in the mix.
Who do you sound like?
I don't know...Beatles? I like the feel of this song, very saloonish with that piano. this song is alright, I don't think there's a market for this right now, but who cares, play the music that's fun!

Extra Credit: Mood

THE BEATLES
this song BELONGS on the beatles-abbey road (one of the best albums of all time, i might add) it sounds just like the style that they played on that album.... i like the song alot!! AWESOME JOB!

Extra Credit: Male Vocals, Guitars, Production, Melody

Cool song
the music to this song reminds of of watching an old western movie inside a saloon with a hot lead guitar overtop. Doors-esque vocals capture the mood to this song. as for who you sound like, i cant put my finger on any one band. very original, keep it up.

Extra Credit: Male Vocals

Woohoo! The Monkees live on!
Love the whimsical quality of this. The rock world needs a few more light moments. A Monkees songwriting vibe with Beatley and Birds influences noted, and always appreciated. Nice to hear guitars without lots of crummy, unsoulful distortion all over them (witness the rest of this site). Nice work.

Echoes of Classic Tones
I can't think of a time that I have heard more specific influences of great and recognizable artists appear in a single song. The verse stylings were reminescent of the Eels and Beck. Something in the production reminded me of Michael Nesmith - which should be taken as a compliment. The country beat and straight guitar solo, though unexpected, fit the song. I loved the subtle piano dinks during the refrain. The harmonies in the refrain were a hook unto themselves, and reminescent of... I just can't recall. Which is perhaps the general impression of the whole song. It keeps reminding the listener of echos from the past. The closing solo seemed out of place as the song just suddenly, and without warning, ended.

Lookout Liverpool!
i'm hoping there's some relevance to the intro cus I don't see it at first glance ... a happy beatlesque sound all the way here - done with a flare for the old school rock and roll flavor. Hey!!! bring the vocals up thiiis much ... the lead vocal is melodic and the backing vox only add to the whole harmonic structure. Nice drummer, a pocket man for sure and the bass line is a little reminiscent at times of a fab four guy ... nice little simple lead guitar stuff - fits the way few other styles would ... mix brings out the texture of the tune pretty well too. Good piano action also adds to the whole picture ... the longer I hear this the more I think you guys are a tribute band - the similarities to more than one song are evident. It's obviously NOT original but if that's what you're aiming for - YOU NAILED IT! good luck - bet you guys are fun live!

Extra Credit: Male Vocals, Guitars, Drums, Bass, Production, Melody

Fun song
I like the piano part. It gives it a old west saloon feel. You guys sound like a mix between sargeant pepper beatles, jim morrison vocals, and bob dylan style changes. i think the production was very well done and overall the song is good.

Extra Credit: Keyboards/Organ/Piano, Melody

Mix it up...
This kind of reminds me a little of Beck combined with some 60s band - The Beatles? Nice guitar work. The background piano/guitar part is a little repetitive after awhile. The song is fairly catchy though. The sound/mix is kind of lo-fi. It sounds like that's what you're aiming for though. The song really needs something to break up the repetitiveness though - a bridge would work well. The solos are quite good and performances in general are really good. Nice work on the whole...you just need to mix it up a little.

neat stuff.
sounds like the flying burrito brothers sitting in on a ringo star arrangement. not a bad mix at all, the vocals were a little muddy though. those kinda sounded like ween 12 golden country greats album. maybe i just don't think the vocals needed the overdub.

This song rules.
It may not be fair becuase I know the guy who did this song, but I will give it an honest review becuase it did come up at random. I like this song a lot. The production is great, the music is perfect, and the vocals fit very nicely. This is the kind of song that I don't think I could get sick of. It's not overwhelming, but still very catchy and has a good tempo.

Extra Credit: Male Vocals, Guitars, Production, Melody

Definitely Beatles!
I love the retro feel and sound. Very cool. Good vocals and lyrics. This is very Beatles inspired and done well. You should be very proud.

coffee shop intro
could be Cake playing country!! This is kinda cool, laid-back country rock. The guitar is very Cakeish!! I LOVE CAKE.

This Sounds Great
This is a great song. Just like hearing The Beatles. I can't help it but being drawn by it's non caring way of being. This band has really got the sound right. Loooooove it!

Good overall sound
Who Do You Sound Like? uhhhh, TOM PETTY! Nice groove guys, vocals are definetly Tom Petty style.

Bouncy
Has a Beatles quality and I don't throw that name around lightly! Good job guys and good luck with this one.
George Harrison
Strong Beatle influence, more along the lines of George. Good mix and vocals. Not earth breaking and very 60's.

Extra Credit: Production

Where Have All The Good Times Gone? Ask these guys!
Who Do You Sound Like? A freakin' group of talented guys that's what i think. Seriously, if i was going to make a concrete comparison, I'd say the Kinks. There's definitly a Ray Davies thing going on here. This song is really good. Great chord progression, and the production is superb. And it clocks in at a near perfect 3:15!! Excellent job guys.

Special Award: Most Rocking Track

Clap For The Wolfman
Sounds a bit like the Guess Who (Clap For The Wolfman) meets The Doors, meets The Beatles. Other than that I like the feel and arrangment, vocals and harmonies are nice. Good all around effort.

Funny story
I'm a sucker for a funny story. Good production, nice arrangement, overall a good song. Maybe a bit long with out any dramatic changes. Who do you sound like? Maybe the Monkeys?

Extra Credit: Male Vocals, Production, Lyrics

FAB-ulous
Very influenced by the Beatles and possibly the Grateful Dead. Retro all the way. The production is good and the song is good. Can't really complain about anything in this song. It's cool!

Extra Credit: Guitars, Production, Melody, Beat

good vibrations
love the intro-a grabber. Great sound, radio ready, cool, good fun, good summer vibes, great vox, execution. Maybe a more pronounced hook/chorus wd really help stamp it on the conscious but nevertheless it sounds great.

HAVE TO SAY...I LIKED IT
Opens like the early Beatles, sings like Elliott Smith. Or Gerry Raferty (Baker Street). Started off thinking it was not fun, halfway through I started getting interested, the high vocals were cool then off-set by the following '60's guitar. Have to say, I liked it.

From the song "Mr. Big Boy"

neigh perfect
First off, to answer your question, to me, you sound like a quirkier Tom Petty. That being said, as the song unfold the charms of your own sound really comes through. LIterate lyrics, interesting chord progressions, tasteful arrangement, interesting hooks, lots of good stuff here. This track is mature and fully realized, the product of people that know what they are doing and don't have to try to hard to get their stuff across. Good job.

Extra Credit: Male Vocals, Production, Lyrics, Melody

feel good song of the summer!
This song totally reminds me of Tom Petty, George Harrison or anyone from the Travelling Wilburys days for that matter. Its got that early 80's accoustic-pop drive that made those songs by those artists so great. The organs and keys in the background really add a lot of body to the song, to make it more than just an accoustic sing-a-long. Great job!

Extra Credit: Male Vocals, Guitars, Melody

hmm
cool riff to start it off. best track i heard today on gb.com nice chord changes.defintly make this ur single.cuz itll sell. reminds me of pavement.
Good song
I can't seem to peg who you sound like, but the song was generally well written and fun to listen to. It shows some effort and creativity. Personally, I'd like to hear some more electric guitars and a bit of a Dinosaur Jr. take on this song, but that's just an opinion. Keep up the songwriting and you'll find a hit.

Extra Credit: Mood

Sounds good!
I would turn the vocals down a bit. Nice chords!
making me move back and forth
I get a pavement feel on this one, with a touch of the lilys and obviously kinks. This is a great drum beat. This makes you move. I like the acoustic but it needs an effect or something. Its dry and unmixed. Its a nice lead though. Nice effort. This may be my first download...

Extra Credit: Guitars, Drums, Melody, Beat

this is a song i would listen to when i'm feeling down
vocals are tight! music will reach out to ya istruments sound togh you guys sound good. ending effect is wierd but i still like the song

Special Award: Best Feel Good Track

good stuff
i expected mick jagger to start singing this one, we got more of a neil young i guess. maybe a little of velvet underground in there too. pretty cool rhythm, and i like the subtle changes at around 1:35. very enjoyable tune. and solid production too. nice, clean, and not overly ambitious guitar fill. nice work.

must be my day for acoustic tunes
all i've gotten today is acoustic songs i'm kind of burnt on the wole thing. sounds good though. performance and sound are really good. who do you sound like? hard to judge from one acoustic song. you sound like a well rehearsed and put together band.

Unknown Classic Rock
This has a later-day Ray Davies sound. Has that certain retrospective viewpoint to the songwriting. You've got to love it. I know I do.

Extra Credit: Melody, Mood

The Greatful Dead
This seems more like Jam Band music than anything alternative. Main stream hippie. That's not saying I don't like the sound, I do actually. Only problem I have with it is understanding the lyrics.

Extra Credit: Mood

Now, this one I liked
It started out with a Freakbeat sound, maybe a little like the Kinks, with a less in-your-face vocal, but with lyrics that were well-chosen (although on one listen, I'm sure I missed a lot. But, although you seem to be singing about someone that you don't care for much, it maintains a pop feel to it. The vocal fluctuations at the end were a nice way to keep the listener interested until the last note.

Cool song
I like the arrangement, the lead riffs, and the vocals. If I had to choose what it sounds like, I'd pick something like Neutral Milk Hotel or American Anymen. The vocals remind me a bit of Tom Petty. If I have any criticisms (and I'm stretching to find them), I would suggest the following: 1. The opening of the song is very sudden (almost like somebody hit the record button after the band had already started). 2. It sounds like its mixed a little too hot -- there's some clipping that sounds out of place in some parts.
